Join us as a Volunteer for one or more weekends or for the entire transformative Ramadan experience
We’re inviting a select group of volunteers to be part of the Returning to Fitrah Ramadan Retreat, where service meets spirituality. As a volunteer, you’ll not only contribute to the success of this unique experience but also immerse yourself fully in the sacred rhythms of Ramadan on our serene Northern California farm.
What you’ll receive as a volunteer for the full month:
- A Full Month of Renewal: Participate in all programming and activities, including nightly Tarawih prayers, Qur’an reflections, inspiring workshops, and immersive nature experiences.
- A Sense of Belonging: Share this journey with a like-minded community. Volunteers will have opportunities to connect deeply with fellow participants and enjoy extended time with the esteemed teachers and scholars leading the retreat.
- Farm-to-Table Meals: Enjoy nourishing halal and tayyib meals that align with the Sunnah diet.
Your Accommodation Options:
- Bring Your Own Camping Gear: Camp on-site for free and enjoy the natural beauty of the farm.
- Upgrade to Glamping: Stay in our thoughtfully prepared glamping tents for a fee of $1400 that covers setup costs. Each tent includes a comfortable bed, warm lighting, and other amenities to make your stay restful and serene.
What We Ask of You:
- Dedicate 3-4 hours of service per day to support the retreat, contributing to tasks like meal prep, event setup, or assisting with activities. These hours will be spent supporting the retreat with fellow volunteers, staff, attendees, and our teachers. We will be working together to create an amazing experience for all involved and doing so while mindfully fasting. While labor will not be intensive, each volunteer will have responsibilities they are committed to fulfilling.
